Thank you for your interest in joining the commitment group! Please carefully read through all of the FAQ below before deciding to join, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
How many spots will open for the commitment group?
I will be opening 20 spots.
What will be expected of me if I join/ what am I committing to?
You will be expected to preorder every pin in my YOTD PoP series (minimum of 4 pins, maximum of 7 pins). I will provide regular updates and expected production dates so that you know at least one month in advance when you will be expected to pay for the next pin.
All payments will be completed via PayPal with full G&S protections.
How often will a new pin go into production?
I plan on producing no more than 1 pin in this series every 2-3 months, and the payment schedule would follow this timeline.
What are the benefits of joining?
You will have guaranteed first access to every single pin in the series at the lowest possible price (preorder price). Everyone in the commitment group will be able to place their preorder before any remaining preorder spots open to the public.
Just for fun, I may also make an Instagram group chat where I share design sneak peeks and hear your input for who to pin next. I would just ask that no art previews are shared outside of the group.
What can I expect for the rest of your YOTD PoP (pin-on-pin) series?
All designs for this series will be created in collaboration with my wonderful artist, @neverwho_art. They will all be limited edition, gold plated, 3 inches tall, PoP, 3 inches tall, with 2-3 effects each. LE numbers will vary across the series (because I know these characters vary in popularity and some collectors only collect certain characters), but you can expect that LEs will range from LE30 to LE60. Because LE numbers will vary, price per individual pin will range between $55 to $70 (US dollars).
As far as characters, I will 100% be making all four dragons with my goal being to make the rest of the Happy Hungry Bunch as well. If any other characters do get made outside of these 7, the commitment group would get first access but would NOT be required to purchase.
What will happen if I need to leave the commitment group?
I understand that life happens and sometimes it no longer becomes feasible to commit financially to preordering pins. However, I do heavily rely on preorders to be able to fund pin production costs so please don’t join the commitment group if you don’t really expect to be able to commit for the whole series.
If you need to leave the group, please let me know ASAP. I won’t be banning anyone from continuing to collect the series, but if you previously committed and drop out, you will be limited to in-hand availability only for this series so that others can have the chance to preorder.
Note that my shop policy of not giving refunds for preorders (except in circumstances of extreme manufacturing delays) still applies, as do all other Flying Canoe Pins shop policies.
When and how can I sign up?
Sign-up will happen via Google form where you will provide your name, Instagram handle, and PayPal username. At the end of the Google form, you will be asked to acknowledge that you have read these FAQ in full and that you understand what you are committing to.
I will be giving first priority to those who preordered both Shinah and Gija, then I will open spots to those who preordered one of the two. Finally, I will open spots to all other followers. Spots are first-come-first-served until all 20 spots are filled.
I will send details via email to those who are eligible in the first two rounds of sign-ups and you will have two days to sign up before I offer spots to the next group. If we make it to the public sign up round, I will post a countdown timer on my story and create a “comment to claim” Instagram post where the first to comment will be given access to the sign-up form.
If I join the commitment group but I wasn’t able to preorder Shinah or Gija, will I be guaranteed an in-hand for them?
Yes, I will save in-hands for the commitment group so that you’re still able to collect the whole series.
When will the next design go into production?
I’m planning on putting the third dragon into production in January, and no payment will be required until then.
What if I have other questions that were not answered above?
Please email or DM me! I am always happy to answer your questions.
